The sun was out for the first drystane dyking workshop. Jake Blackwood was the instructor for the day. He explained the principles of dyking and the names of the various types of stones within the dyke and their function. Thirteen pair of hands got to work and 2 hours later had fixed about ten meters of dyke.
This workshop was organised as part of the “Landskills for Glencairn” campaign. More dyking as well as other landskills workshops will be on offer.
